Extraction and Visualization of Poincare Map Topology for Spacecraft Trajectory Design

Mission designers must study many dynamical models to plan a low-cost spacecraft trajectory that satisfies mission constraints. They routinely use Poincare maps search for suitable path through the interconnected web of periodic orbits and invariant manifolds found in multi-body gravitational systems. This paper is concerned with extraction interactive visual exploration this structural landscape assist planning. We propose algorithmic solutions address specific challenges posed by characterization topology astrodynamics problems allow an effective analysis resulting information. visualization framework applied circular restricted three-body problem (CR3BP), where it reveals novel their relevant format transfer selection. Representative design illustrate how planners can leverage our fully exploit natural dynamics pathways energy-efficient designs.
